Lerosa is the alias of Dublin – based, Italian producer and DJ Leopoldo Rosa. His sound draws deeply on his diverse influences – dub, industrial, electro, new beat, italo, IDM – and transform them into a sound signature that has always been uniquely his own. What comes through is a sound that speaks of Lerosa’s love for the studio, for the tangible substance of an audio frequency – analogue and digital, raw and processed, pure and saturated – and the intangible, indeed bewitching mystery of how these frequencies can transport us to other places. His releases appeared on influential underground dance labels like Berlin's Acid-Test (Catena, 2022), London's Uzuri (Amanatto, 2011) and Seattle's experimental label Further Records (2009). Lerosa has also been in demand as a remixer, DJ and live performer and has garnered press coverage from magazines such as Germany’s Groove Mag & De-Bug, London’s Strobelight Honey magazine. Notable performances include live and DJ sets at London's Fabric (2009, 2012), Berlin's Tresor (2012, 2013), Hamburg's Golden Puddle (2015) and Sherkin Island's Open Ear (2018). Lerosa is currently involved in a number of projects for independent dance labels.
