Onda

Francesco Daprile is a selector and music curator at Onda. His extended sets are eclectic trips through his record collection, playing new and old productions, jazz freakouts, club bangers and whatever else he feels like. Manfredi aka z:d is based in Milan, but comes from Palermo. Monthly resident on Radio Raheem with “Ricordi / Sonori”, his research aims to combine experimental, ambient and psychedelic sounds, slow labyrinthine rhythms, dense and deep textures creating a suspended soundscape, at times intimate, a sonic journey linked to the act of listening. Coming from the field of photography, he is used to observing through the images that, constantly and daily, the world offers us. A visual exercise from which no one, with more or less attention, can escape. Music allows him to disassemble and reassemble this process in reverse. A constant search that wants to create worlds from sounds, sounds that through imagination become images.
